WHAT IS THE HOPE FUND AND WHY DOES IT EXIST?

The Hope Fund is a general account that exists for families that are compelled to action regarding orphan care and need financial help in getting started.

The Hope Fund is not specific for any one type of orphan care.  We understand as adoptive parents ourselves through foster care, that there are various costs associated with getting started.  Whether you are looking to be a foster care home, take over as guardian or become an adoptive home, there are certain steps that you have to complete before becoming approved.  Depending on your role in orphan care, there may even be financial assistance and other resources available through your specific county ongoing, while you are caring for your child.  This is fantastic!

What if a family feels called to be on mission through foster care, but cannot get past the hurdle of the initial setup costs?  What if your call is to international adoption or guardianship?  The costs may vary greatly depending on which direction you are headed, but nevertheless, they can still be very prohibitive and be an obstacle that one may never be able to overcome.  Here is where the Hope Fund can help.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A family that feels called to orphan care may apply to Child Hope Services for a grant from the Hope Fund.  All applicants are welcome, but due to limited funds, not all well qualified applicants will receive a grant.  The grant may come in various forms, depending on the request and the need.

Once the application (hyperlink to application) is completed, please email it to us at info@childhopeservices.org.  We will review the application and be in touch as soon as we can.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT AND TAKE ACTION?

There are multiple roles and ways to respond regarding orphan care.  If your role is to support, you can donate to Child Hope Services and the Hope Fund, where your tax-deductible donation will go directly to supporting families that are starting the process of foster care or adoption.
